Stone Paper is a natural product manufactured from calcium carbonate, CaCO3, powder using proprietary additives as a bonding agent.  The calcium carbonate is collected as waste material at existing limestone quarries and is ground up into a fine white chalk powder.  A small quantity of non-toxic resin is then added and together these materials are converted into a printable substrate.

Stone Paper can be used in most situations where conventional and synthetic paper is used and offers exceptional printing, water proofing and tear resistant qualities. Stone Paper claims to be the world's most environmentally friendly paper.

Stone Paper is made by an unconventional papermaking process which results in lower cost, lower energy utilization, and a lower environmental impact on our earth.

Stone Paper is environmental preferable to all wood pulp fibre papers as its manufacturing process,
Is absolutely 100% tree free.
1. Has low carbon emissions
2. Uses less energy
3. Generates no effluent
4. Uses no water, acid, blench or other chemicals
5. Recycles all waste Stone-Paper.

Stone Paper is photodegradable and able to be recycled into either paper or plastic channels.

Research indicates that the manufacture of one tonne of Stone-Paper instead of one tonne of wood pulp fibre paper,
1. Saves 20 trees
2. Water borne waste is reduced by 19.05 kgs
3. Water flow of 28.31 litres is saved
4. Atmospheric emissions are reduced by 107.1 kgs
5. Energy savings of 6 million BTU's.

One tonne of stone produces one tonne of Stone-Paper but it requires 4 tonnes of wood to produce only one tonne of traditional wood pulp fibre paper.
